Background

Ontario’s 80+ population is projected to more than double by 2040 – an unprecedented demographic shift that is already reshaping the future of care. The question isn’t just how we keep up, but how we break the mold. How do we move beyond one-size-fits-all approaches and truly innovate?

This is Long Term Care 2025, hosted by the Ontario Long Term Care Association is where bold ideas meet real-world impact. As the premier event for advancing seniors’ care, we’re calling for abstract submissions that showcase:

  • New models of care that challenge the status quo
  • Emerging research that informs the future of long-term care
  • Quality improvements that drive better outcomes
  • Actionable solutions that can make an immediate and lasting difference

The OLTCA invites industry leaders, business partners, and change makers to share your innovative strategies, solutions, and partnerships that are advancing care and improving quality of life for seniors. This is your opportunity to showcase your work in addressing the challenges in seniors’ care and to engage with others who are shaping the future of the sector.

Long-term care is more than a place – it’s a home, a community, and a hub for learning and growth. To meet the challenges ahead, we need to rethink care within the community context, break down silos, and address stigma head-on. Together, we can enhance care today and build a sustainable future for the long-term care sector. We invite you to submit your abstract and help lead the way.
