Global Ageing Network Leadership Retreat
The Global Ageing Network (GAN) Leadership Retreat will take place September 16-17, 2019 in conjunction with the Global Ageing Network and OLTCA joint conference in Toronto, Canada. Join your peers for a two-day, immersive learning experience designed to enhance the leadership capacities of emerging leaders committed to the field of aging. Participants will come away with skills, insights, ideas and confidence to provide leadership in times of change and innovation. In joining an alumni network of past participants committed to ongoing learning and leadership development, they will gain a global peer network that is sustained well beyond the retreat experience.

Objectives
- Through a variety of high engagement learning methods, participants will broaden their knowledge and perspective to grow their own leadership skills and core competencies so they can lead their organizations with greater purpose and clarity.
- Interacting with seasoned transformational leaders within the field whose work has fueled industry advancements, attendees will be exposed to diverse perspectives to foster deeper understanding of the issues facing providers.
- Engaging in introspective reflections of personal leadership and learning styles, participants will enrich their own self-awareness while building relationships that provide guidance and support for their leadership journey.
Registration
**Registration for the Leadership Retreat is not included as part of the conference fees. Space is limited – register early to ensure participation.
Meet the Facilitators
Wendy Green and Judy Brown have collaborated to create meaningful learning experiences that foster leadership development grounded in self-reflection and broadened perspectives. Wendy serves as Managing Vice President of Leadership Development at LeadingAge in Washington, D.C.; Judy Brown, PhD has developed and facilitated countless leadership initiatives for organizations ranging from the federal government and Ford to the Urban Library Council. She has served as the facilitator for the LeadingAge Leadership Academy since its inception.
